Grace Ogot (b.1934-) is a Kenyan author, nurse, journalist, politician and diplomat^[1]. Ogot was born Grace Emily Akinyi in Asembo, in the district of Nyanza. She trained as a nurse inUganda and in England. She has worked as a midwife, a tutor, as journalist, as a BBC Overseas Service broadcaster, and in a managerial capacity for the Air India Corporation of East Africa. In 1984 she became one of only a handful of women to serve as a Member of Parliament and the only woman assistant minister in the cabinet of then President Daniel arap Moi. Ogot has since held various Ambassadorial posts, representing her country at the United Nations and UNESCO. Ogot was a founding member of the Writers' Association of Kenya. She married the historian Professor Bethwell Allan Ogot, a Luo from Gem Location, in 1959, and is the mother of four children.

Writin Career

Grace Ogot's first book was Land Without Thunder, a book of short stories. Her first novel was The Promised Land. Her other works include: The Strange Bride, The Graduate, The Other Woman and The Island of Tears.

Grace Ogot can be said to be one of Africa's finest writers. Her writing style is splendid in its evocation of vivid imagery; she captures the formalities of traditional African interpersonal exchanges, governed by protocol and symbolism.

Many of her stories are set against the scenic background of Lake Victoria and the traditions of the Luo people. Her prose is evocative of traditional folklore – such as in The Strange Bride, a novel about a mystical and provocative female character in ancient Luoland. Grace Ogot also tackles issues of emigration – as is the case in The Promised Land, a novel set in the 1930s, whereby her main protagonists emigrate from Nyanza to northern Tanzania, in search of fertile land and wealth. The Graduate is also a novel about the complexities of emigration; in it, the male protagonist returns from the United States to Kenya, after completing his studies. Many of the short stories in Land Without Thunder are set in ancient Luoland; Ogot's descriptions, literary tools, and storylines offer a valuable insight into Luo culture in pre-colonial East Africa. Ogot has published works in both English and Luo – some of her works were first published in the Dholuo language.

She was interviewed in 1974 by Lee Nichols for a Voice of America radio broadcast that was aired between 1975-1979 (Voice of America radio series Conversations with African writers, no. 23). The Library of Congress has a copy of the broadcast tape and the unedited original interview. The broadcast transcript appears in the book Conversations with African Writers(Washington, D.C.: Voice of America, 1981), p. 207-216.

INTRODUCTION

Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. Linguistics can be broadly broken into three categories or subfields of study: language form, language meaning, and language in context. The study of language meaning is concerned with how languages employ logical structures and real-world references to convey, process, and assign meaning, as well as to manage and resolve ambiguity. This subfield encompasses semantics (how meaning is inferred from words and concepts) and pragmatics (how meaning is inferred from context).

The researcher, concerned in the study of language meaning. We study the semantics of some blog of foreign blogger and local blogger. We compare how they used the words and concepts of their post. The language condition of local blogger are basically Filipino or Tagalog as their national language, and English as their second language. While the foreign blogger is using the English language as their first language.

Some researcher says about the language condition of Filipino:

Virtually everyone agrees that media -print, radio, and television (and now, cyberspace) has had a profound influence on people, especially on their language. The Filipino spoken today, especially by the
young (35 years old and below) is undeniably distinctive, to use a loose term, and may have been so influenced by media to a greater extent. This Filipino is spoken by a significant segment of the population and it warrants a linguistic inquiry. Selected articles from Filipino tabloids and dailies, scholarly papers from the University of the Philippines Press, candid and structured interviews of college students, television news, sitcoms and talk shows, and radio programs in Metro Manila are some of the culled sources for the Filipino words, phrase, or sentences found in this study. Filipino, Tagalog, and Cebuano words are arrayed for cognate purposes, with English juxtaposed as a meta- or reference language.

METHODOLOGY

The Procedure:

The researcher, studied the lexical semantics of some post of the foreign blogger and local blogger. We studied their blog, from its title to its profile and statements, and words use in their post and their meaning.

A. The first Blog is from David, the title of his blog is "The Rest Is Still Unwritten" which means he still have some ideas who haven't written yet. There are two words in this title which describes the meaning of this phrase. The first word is "Rest" which is noun (The part of speech that is used to name a person, place, thing, quality, or action and can function as the subject or object of a verb, the object of a preposition, or an appositive.). Second word is "unwritten" which is adjective (Adjectives are words that describe or modify another person or thing in the sentence), root word "written" which is also an adjective and past participle of "write" which is verb. Therefore, the word "Rest" is the objective or subject of the word "unwritten" which is an adjective that describes the noun word "Rest". And this phrase is grammatically correct.

Understanding Blame

For someone who often hates his own writing, I felt it was one of my better pieces to date. So I wanted to write a second piece about Anger's close cousin - Blame.

Blame isn't about about right and wrong. And it's not about someone else at all. Blame is an internal war. Similar to anger, blame is just another mask for pain. Anger is a symptom of something deeper. It is never the problem. The real problem is hurt, fear, and/or frustration. The same could be said for blame.

We studied the semantics of his post phrases by phrases.

1. For someone who often hates his own writing,

- The word "own" used is adjective because it describes the word "writing" which is a noun that has a root word "write" which is a verb. Therefore, the two words "own writing" is define as "the written work is belong to someone". The Phrase means that someone often hates his written work.

2. I felt it was one of my better pieces to date.

- The word "pieces" is noun, and the words "to date" is also a noun. The "pieces" as a noun means a literary work and the words "to date" as a noun means time or to schedule.

3. So I wanted to write a second piece about Anger's close cousin - Blame.

- The word "wanted" is verb which means 'a strong desires', the word "Anger" is noun which means 'a strong feeling of displeasure', the word "close" is adjective which means 'being near in relationship', the word "cousin" is noun which means 'relative by blood' and lastly the word "blame" is noun which means 'being responsible for a fault or error'. Therefore the group of words "Anger's close cousin - Blame" means that the Anger and Blame is relatively the same in some ways or similar in some ways.

- Here, we can see that the blogger uses some of idiomatic words like "close cousin" which he can also use this simple term 'same class'.

B. The second blog is from Sheri Amor from Manila, Philippines. The title of her blog is "Amorous" which is adjective, means 'strongly attractive to love'

Isn't it poverty is one of the main problem in Philippines? and next to it is the educational system of the philippines. We do observed that the cause of poverty is lack of educational background of Filipinos, that's why they cannot able to get a nice job and receive a good salary to provide the needs of their family.

So, k-12 educational system is the answer for our low system of education. By implementing the k-12 educational system here in the philippines,

- it can enhance the quality of basic education in the philippines.

BACKGROUND
The legendary Mt. Arayat rises like a solitary giant over the central plains of Luzon. Long before it drew the attention of hikers, it was already popular in myth. It was said to be dwelling-place of the Kapampangan sun god, Sinukuan. Writer Alex Castro, in "Views from the Pampang", narrates the story: "[Sinukuan] was supposedly imprisoned in a cave sealed with a "white rock" visible on the mountainside." He was engaged on an epic battle with his rival, Apung Pinatubu, who "hurled stones" at Sinukuan. Perhaps this is actually a recollection of Pinatubo's pre-Hispanic eruption, over 600 years ago?

The next legend about Arayat is about Mariang Sinukuan, counterpart of the Tagalogs' Mariang Makiling. In some accounts she was Mariang Makiling's sister, and like her, she was a mountain dweller with fairy-like powers. She was the subject of songs and poems until the present time. Finally, Mt. Arayat is sacred to Rizalistas, who, Castro writes, "gather every December to honor the national hero in quiet ceremonies. The cult was brought to Arayat by the late Apo or Mahal na Inang Birhen Sinukuan in 1947, acknowledged as Rizal's female incarnation."

Thus, whether as a mountain of myth or a towering landmark, Kapampangans take pride in Mt. Arayat. During the 1970s, Mt. Arayat National Park was built - complete with natural pools, picnic areas, and the mountain trail that leads to Arayat's Peak 1. Although the National Park has degenerated into a local resort, it is still the jump-off for Arayat's Peak 1. This peak has a spectacular viewdeck, where you can behold seemingly all of Central Luzon. Pampanga river meanders like a snake across the rice fields; the mountains of Zambales and Bataan come into view; so Sierra Madre on the opposite side.

Meanwhile, Peak 2 can be accessed from Magalang, Pampanga. In either trails, the 'balding' of the mountain is evidenced by the intense heat of the sun. Still, some forests survive and therein, monkeys continue to roam free. You can hear their calls along the last leg of the trail. There are also sightings of wild boar, local civet (musang), and native birds. A separate article for this trail is under construction.

NPA scare continues to scare hikers from climbing Arayat, but there is now military presence in the trails, and the last pockets of NPA resistance were subjugated in 2002. Thus Arayat remains one of the most exciting hiking destinations in Luzon.

SPECIAL CONCERNS
The Arayat N.P. trail has unfortunately gained notoriety for 'extortionist' locals who overcharge everything from entrance to guide fees. In addition they'll even ask for a barangay fee and a parking fee. If you wish to hike Arayat via this route, anticipate these already. The guide fee is P400-500 and don't accept anything higher than that. These charges make an Arayat trip more expensive than it should be. Even then, it is still worth climbing.

Flies, mosquitoes, and other insects abound in Arayat; Off lotion is a must. Also, 50% of the time the trails have no tree cover. The itinerary above is for a daytrip but Arayat is also a good overnight destination. The peak itself is the suitable campsite, with wide spaces for tents and ample shade. At night don't forget to guard or tent-in your belongings as monkeys might take them away.

TRIVIA
Many foreigners climb Mt. Arayat -- and they pay extra. For locals, a guide fee of P500 would suffice, but for foreigners, the guides demand P1,500-P2,000.

Abstract
K+12 educational systems are the additional years to secondary level. This research contains some information about the curriculum of K+12. Interview, books and newspaper were the researchers’ major instrument in gathering information and was augmented with other data collected through readings.Studies cited by the researchers have also shown that the country’s education program is equivalent to the 12-year education cycle followed abroad except that it is being completed in only 10 years. The respondents of this research are the high school students who will experience the implement of K+12 educational systems. These researches analyze and study what will be the effects of the K+12 educational systems to the country, parents, and students. The K+12 plan will cost an estimated annual investment of P30 billion over five years. This amount will increase the Department of Education share of the national budget from about 12 percent to 14 percent. But the Department of Education had received as much as 18 percent of the budget before. Countries considered poorer than the Philippines invest in K+12 for their children. Filipino children deserve no less.

Introduction
Rep. Raymond Palatino, a member of Kabataan Party list said: The new system would translate to added burden to parents who could barely send their children to school. For povertystricken country such as ours, the proposal to add two years to basic education is a question of survival.

This K+12 will need more allowance to implement this program. Then the parents need to work harder for them to support the studies of their children. But this program will help the students to add additional knowledge and for...

The PROS (which is basically the side of the government, well-heeled and articulate leaders from the academe, the business community and the media):

“Enhancing the quality of basic education in the Philippines is urgent and critical.”
“The poor quality of basic education is reflected in the low achievement scores of Filipino students. One reason is that students do not get adequate instructional time or time on task.”
International test results consistently show Filipino students lagging way behind practically everybody else in the world. In the 2008 mathematics exam, for example, we came in dead last.
“The congested curriculum partly explains the present state of education.” Twelve years of content are crammed into ten years.
“This quality of education is reflected in the inadequate preparation of high school graduates for the world of work or entrepreneurship or higher education.” If ten years were adequate, how come employers do not hire fresh high school graduates? How come most high school graduates flunk the UPCAT?
“Most graduates are too young to enter the labor force.” Since most children start Grade 1 when they are 6 years old, they do not reach the legal employable age of 18 when they graduate from high school today.
“The current system also reinforces the misperception that basic education is just a preparatory step for higher education.” Why prioritize the minority of high school graduates that go to college?
“The short duration of the basic education program also puts the millions of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), especially the professionals, and those who intend to study abroad, at a disadvantage. Our graduates are not automatically recognized as professionals abroad.” The best examples are our engineering graduates, who are condemned to international jobs not befitting their professional status due to our not having a 12-year basic education cycle.
“The short basic education program affects the human development of the Filipino children.” If we believe that 17-year-old high school graduates are emotionally, psychologically, and intellectually mature, why do we require them to get parental consent before they get married?

The CONS (which are basically the madlang people whose pocketbooks would be adversely impacted by the proposed additional 2 years of basic education):

Parents have to shell out more money (for transportation and food) for the education of their children.
The government does not have the money to pay for two more years of free education, since it does not even have the money to fully support today’s ten years. DepEd must first solve the lack of classrooms, furniture and equipment, qualified teachers, and error-free textbooks.
We can do in ten years what everyone else in the world takes 12 years to do. Why do we have to follow what the rest of the world is doing? We are better than all of them. Filipinos right now are accepted in prestigious graduate schools in the world, even with only ten years of basic education.
As far as the curriculum is concerned, DepEd should fix the current subjects instead of adding new ones. The problem is the content, not the length, of basic education. As an editorial put it, we need to have better education, not more education.
A high school diploma will not get anybody anywhere, because business firms will not hire fresh high school graduates.
Every family dreams of having a child graduate from college.
While students are stuck in Grades 11 and 12, colleges and universities will have no freshmen for two years. This will spell financial disaster for many private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The drop-out rate will increase because of the two extra years.

“The government has not yet shown the arguments of the opposition to be fallacious,” writes Cruz.

On the other hand, Cruz characterizes the opposition (anti) as being “very vocal airing its arguments not only in newspapers, on radio, and on television, but even in the parliament of the streets.”

“As of this writing,” Cruz writes, “I have not heard the opposition rebut the arguments of the government. In fact, as far as I can see, they have refused to even listen to the government.”

Since this is a public debate, Cruz contends that “we have to move from constructive speeches to rebuttal”.

I think we really don’t have a compelling need to listen to rebuttals. Enough yakety yak already! What we need are objective, actual (empirical) cost-benefit and pedagogical studies to support or debunk the claims of either side. A promising start would be to read “Length of School Cycle and the ‘Quality’ of Education” written by Felipe & Porio published in the Philippine Education Research Journal (PERJ).

Since Verleen is already know the alphabets, Teacher Christal review this to him. While they are starting the lesson, the child was excited to learn from his Teacher Christal but unfortunately, since he already knew the alphabets his excitement turn to boredom. But then, when Teacher Christal motivated him by giving him a reward every correct pronunciation of the letters, he starting to enjoy it again.

Proper pronunciation

- He Pronounce the Alphabets well, but some of his consonant letters cannot pronounce it properly. When he pronounce the letter "N" he pronounce it as letter "M", his letter "F" sounds "EP", his letter "V" pronounce as letter "B" and his "W" pronounce as "Dalbyu".
- He pronounce the numbers properly from number one to ten.

Review Previous Lesson

Matching Lines and Shapes

After the tracing, here come the next step which is matching the lines and shapes where we can find out if the child can read the object properly. And he matched all of the objects well. Because of his very good performance, Teacher Edlyn give him three stars, Verleen like it well. Teacher Edlyn observe that Verleen also motivated by craving for the stars which it is also a reward during their class activities.

Tracing the Alphabets

Of course after tracing the Lines which is the first step in learning to write, Teacher Edlyn now let the child trace his alphabets. And the performance of the child are getting good. But some of the alphabets don't trace well but it is normal for a four year old child like him that having hard time when it comes in writing or tracing a letters, since they are just starting learning it.

Introduce the vowels

Teacher Edlyn now introduce the vowels. So that in the next day of tutor, the child could have a background of the lesson. He pronounce the vowels well but when Teacher Edlyn ask where is letter "A" for example, the child are having a hard time to recognize the vowel "A".

Review Previous Lesson

Teacher Edlyn, review the previous lessons. When Verleen got almost of the previous lessons; Tracing and Matching Lines and Shapes, she gave the child three stars. Teacher Edlyn observe that because of that three stars, the child get excited for the new lesson. The child also ask like this "Teacher Edlyn, do i still have a star later?" when Teacher Edlyn answered it "Yes, if you will listen to our lesson and got it right, you will have more big stars" then the child was so excited to have his big star.

Matching the big and small vowels

Previously, Teacher Edlyn introduced the vowels. Today, Teacher Edlyn will test the ability of the child in recognizing the big and small vowels. The child performance is not so good but not so bad, it is average. He can match some of the big vowels to the small vowels but some are not.

Tracing the vowels

For the next step in learning to write, Teacher Edlyn give another activity which is tracing the vowels. The child performance is great.

Writing his name

Then, after tracing the vowels. They move on to the child's name. Verleen now tracing his name. While Verleen tracing his name, Teacher Edlyn pronounce the letters of his name, so that Verleen will also know how to read his name and learn which is "V" or "E".

Teacher Christal was the one handling the reviewing materials of the child. She reviewed him for 30 minutes and the remaining 30 minutes is for the final test of the child.

- The Child is very good. He traced it well, he got four stars.

B. Matching Lines and Shapes
- The Child is great. He matched the lines and shape correctly. he got five stars.

C. Matching Big and Small vowels
- The Child is good. He match 80% of the vowels. he got three stars.

- The Child is very good. He wrote his name and he can also pointed where the letter "E" is. he got four stars.

4. Findings and Recommendation after the invention

We find out that this child is really intelligent, if only the parents and companion of the child can give extra time to teach him and let him explore learning, this child will be great. This child is really motivated in learning especially if he knows that other people recognize his work and give him a reward like candies and stars.

Recommendations:

We observe that sometimes he have a hard time remembering some of the letters. He have trouble learning visually, so we suggest that they need to be guided through any lessons with charts, diagrams, graphs, or other visual learning materials. For example, the teacher may need to tell him how different parts of a diagram relate to each other and why.

5. Reflections

We have learned that it is not easy to teach a four year old child. Since they are in cognitive years, we, the teachers should teach him properly and step by step because the children cannot acquire all at the time, it should be one at the time. But, we're proud that, even it is just a short period of time, we gain his ability when it comes in writing and reading.

In the interview, you informed us that one of your main problem is customer complaint which you experience it almost everyday. Since your company is a franchise fast food chain, it is hard to have a customer complaint, your business might breakdown.

While it's understandable that you will have customer complaints from time to time, that doesn't mean you can't do anything to try to prevent them. Most customers complain not because something bad happened, but because they feel like you could have done more to prevent it. By taking some time to prevent bad things from happening as well as practicing damage control once they do, you can reduce those complaints into the single digits – and that means your business is going to succeed even more.

So, here are some possible solution that we recommend to reduce customer complaint:

1. Check your business

3. First thing to do is apologize first
4. Second thing to do is explain later
5. Fix the problem Immediately
6. Thank the people for their comments and complaint

Check Your Business

From time to time, you need to go into your branch as though you were a customer yourself. This will help you to see what is and what is not working for your company – and what may need to be changed. By taking time to look at your business, you will often find that things are different from what you see from your end. Go through the entire area and make sure everything is under control and that you're presenting the best case for your business.

Set Feedback Box For Customer

By creating a box for customers to complain or simply to give comments, you will encourage customers to let you know things that are problematic before they turn into complaints. You might want to leave an email that's just for complaints or you might want to have a forum upon which customers can review their experiences. Of course, you will need to read these pieces often and respond to them immediately to be sure that customers can tell that you're listening.

First Thing To Do Is Apologize First...

Instead of immediately explaining what went wrong during a transaction, you should apologize first. So often, customers simply feel like you don't care about them when something goes wrong – but when you apologize, you are admitting that it was your fault. It's such a simply thing, but it can help to immediately soften the tone of your customer and allow for you to make reparations.

Second Thing To Do Is Explain Later

At the same time, you should explain to the customer exactly what went wrong. Try not to include any excuses, but rather talk to them about what happened from your end of the transaction. Stick with the facts of what happened and point out where things went wrong. This will show that you care about the transaction and that you have clear reference points from which to change the issues so they don't occur again. In addition, when you explaining what went wrong, give the customer a chance to tell you whether you are 'getting' what they saw as being wrong.

Fix The Problem Immediately

The first thing you need to do when someone complains is fix the problem. If something wasn't delivered quickly, find a way to get it to them as quickly as possible. If something was served, but it wasn't the right thing, make sure to send the right thing. Fix whatever the problem was immediately and then offer a discount or something free in exchange if you can.

Thank People for their Comments and Complaints

While this sounds like an off tactic, when you (as a business) take time out of your schedule to thank a customer for bringing a problem to your attention, you allow them to be a part of the solution. This shows that you understand their part in the process and how valuable the customer really is. Just be sure to thank them at some point of the process in order to showcase their value to you.

People are much less likely to complain when they feel their opinion and their comments really make a difference.

Summary

HISTORY OF THAILAND

Officially the Kingdom of Thailand or formerly known as Siam, is a country located at the center of the Indochina peninsula and Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the north by Burma and Laos, to the east by Laos and Cambodia, to the south by the Gulf of Thailand and Malaysia, and to the west by the Andaman Sea and the southern extremity of Burma. Its maritime boundaries include Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand to the southeast and Indonesia and India in the Andaman Sea to the southwest.

The country is a kingdom, with most recorded reigns in the world. It is a constitutional monarchy with King Rama IX, the ninth king of the House of Chakri, who has reigned since 1946, making him the world's longest-serving current head of state and the longest-reigning monarch in Thai history. The king is officially titled Head of State, the Head of the Armed Forces, an Upholder of the Buddhist religion, and the Defender of all Faiths.

Thailand is the world's 51st largest country in terms of total area (slightly smaller than Yemen and slightly larger than Spain), with a surface area of approximately 513,000 km² (198,000 sq mi), and the 21st most-populous country, with approximately 64 million people. The largest city is Bangkok, the capital, which is also the country's center of political, commercial, industrial and cultural activities. About 75% of the population is ethnically Thai, 14% is of Chinese origin, and 3% is ethnically Malay; the rest belong to minority groups including Mons, Khmers and various hill tribes. FLAG OF THAILAND

The flag of the Kingdom of Thailand shows five horizontal stripes in the colours red, white,blue, white and red, with the middle blue stripe being twice as wide as each of the other four. The design was adopted on 28 September 1917, according to the royal decree about the flag in that year; the Thai name for the flag is ธงไตรรงค์ (Thong Trairong), meaning tricolour flag. The colours are said to stand for nation-religion-king, an unofficial motto of Thailand,red for the land and people, white for Theravada Buddhism and blue for the monarchy, as having been the auspicious colour of King Rama VI. As the king had declared war on Germany that July, some note the flag now bore the same colours as those of Britain and France.

Emblem of Thailand

The National Emblem (National Symbol) of Thailand features the Garuda, a figure from bothBuddhist and Hindu mythology. In Thailand, this figure is used as a symbol of the royal family and authority. This version of the figure is referred to as Krut Pha, meaning "garuḍa acting as the vehicle (of Vishnu)." The National Emblem is also the Emblem of the King of Thailand.

The Garuda also features in the National Emblem of Indonesia and the city of Ulan Bator (the capital of Mongolia). The coat of arms of Indonesia is different from that of Thailand in one respect, because Emblem of Thailand does not feature a heraldic shield.

Thai music have many kind of Music. Thai Music got influence from Korean and Japanese. THAI ART

Traditional Thai art is primarily composed of Buddhist art. Traditional Thaisculpture almost exclusively depicts images of the Buddha. Traditional Thaipaintings usually consist of book illustrations, and painted ornamentation of buildings such as palaces and temples.

THAI CULTURE

The Thai greeting referred to as the Wai .Wai is also common as a way to thank someone or apologise.

Wai as a greeting or farewell often speake the word

" sawatdee" . The Thai greeting is cultural symbols in Thailand.

" Wat " that name call temple in Thailand. There are over 31,200 Buddhist temples spread around Thailand.

They are grouped into two main groups , temples which are permitted to carry out religious functions, and those which are used only for living quarters for monks.

Khon

Amongst the most famous of Thailand's cultural show is the Khon. Khon masked drama evolved in the royal court of Siam, although its roots lies in folk dances of the countryside. Here, performers don elaborate jeweled costumes; men wear masks and women gilded head-dresses. Music accompanies the dance and the dialog and songs are performed by an off-stage chorus.

Shadow Puppet Plays

In the south are the shadow puppet plays known as "Nang Thalung". Nang Thalung is the more popular of the two where puppets crafted from cow hide have strings attached for better character movements. The puppeteers then move these along with the music and comical dialogs.

THAI LITERATURE

Thai literature was traditionally heavily influenced by Indian culture. Thailand's national epic is a version of theRamayana called the Ramakien. A number of versions of the epic were lost in the destruction of Ayutthaya in 1767. Three versions currently exist: one of these was prepared under the supervision (and partly written by) King Rama I. His son, Rama II, rewrote some parts for khon drama. The main differences from the original are an extended role for the monkey god Hanuman and the addition of a happy ending.

The most important poet in Thai literature was Sunthorn Phu, who is best known for his romantic adventure story Phra Aphai Mani and nine travel pieces called Nirats.

Kings Rama V and Rama VI were also writers, mainly of non-fiction works as part of their programme to combineWestern knowledge with traditional Thai culture.

20th century Thai writers have tended to produce light fiction rather than literature, but the Isan region has produced two notably sociocritical writers in Khamsing Srinawk and Pira Sudham.

Thailand has had a wealth of expatriate writers in the 20th century as well. The Bangkok Writers Group is currently publishing fiction by Indian author G.Y. Gopinath, the fabulist A.D. Thompson, as well as non-fiction by Gary Dale Cearley.

THAI COSTUME

Most Thai people wear clothes similar to Westerners. Particularly in Bangkok and other big cities. In some rural areas you may find older people wearing what would be considered traditional dress. The teachers in the picture on the left are wearing traditional Thai clothes. Some of them would wear this type of clothing on a daily basis, others only on special occasions. Children would almost always wear Western clothing apart from very special occasions.

Khon dance or the masked dance drama is the highest form of dance drama of the six traditional Thai dance forms. The dance consists of four sets of characters, male, female, monkeys and demons with dancers wearing elaborate Khon masks.

This traditional Thai dance is based on the Thai Ramakien drama which was adapted from the Hindu Ramayana epics which had a profound impact on the cultural development of Thailand and several South East Asian countries.

The Ramayana epic by the Sanskrit poet Valmiki, consists of six books:

The Book of Ayodha,

The Book of Forest,

The Empire of Holy Monkeys,

The Book of Beauty,

and The Book of War

Ramayana or the march of Rama depicts the story of Prince Rama from Ayodha, city of God. He is banished to the forest, where the evil giant Ravana, the demon ruler of the island kingdom of Langka, city of the Demons, abducts his beautiful wife Sita.

Prince Rama goes in search of his wife and seeks the help of the monkey god Hanuman and his army of monkeys. The search ends at the island of Langa, where a final assault is launched on the city and Prince Rama is reunited with Sita.

The tale as told in Khon drama is about the eternal struggle between the forces of good and evil.

Originally Khon dance was performed mainly in the royal court. Owing to the huge cast involved and the elaborate masks and costumes, the dance never really caught on with the general public.

Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior (Thai: องค์บาก [oŋbaːk]), also known in the United States as Ong-Bak: The Thai Warrior is a 2003 Thai action film. It was directed by Prachya Pinkaew, featured stunt choreography by Panna Rittikrai and starred Tony Jaa. Ong-Bak proved to be Jaa's breakout film, with the actor hailed internationally as the next major martial-arts star. Jaa went on to star in Tom-Yum-Goong (called The Protector in the US and Warrior King in the UK) and directed a sequel to Ong-Bak, Ong-Bak 2.

Plot

In Ban Nong Pradu, a rural village in northeastern Thailand, villagers covered in mud climb a tree. Ting, the village's best athlete, grabs the flag at the top and descends, deftly avoiding the other climbers. A few days before a local celebration, a group arrive from Bangkok and ask the caretaker to sell a statue to them. They are refused.

Ting is appointed by the local monk. Though extremely skilled in muay Thai, as he demonstrates for Mao ("Uncle Drunk" in Thai), he has vowed he will not use it for personal gain. It is a poor village - The village's most prized possession is an ancient Buddha image, named Ong-Bak. During the night, Ting's Uncle stumbles into the temple. He witnesses and yells at intruders but is knocked out with a piece of wood. He awakes to find the statue's head missing. The villagers are worried. Ting promises to recover it. The villagers help pay for his trip to Bangkok, where he is to meet his scumbag cousin Humlae and get help in tracking down the thieves.

In the city, Humlae has dyed his hair blond and calls himself George. He and his friend, Muay Lek, are street-bike racing hustlers who have fallen in with a bad crowd of yaba dealers. They find that they speak the same Isaan dialect.

Humlae is at first reluctant to help Ting, but when he sees the small fortune in coins that Ting has collected from his village, Humlae takes an immediate interest. And, when Ting is in the bathroom, Humlae grabs the sack and heads for a bar on Khaosan Road where an illegal boxing match is going on. Ting tracks Humlae down, but instead of getting his money back, he ends up fighting and being named the new champion - Ting PADIU PIU after one high knee smash waylays the old champ.

Ting (Tony Jaa) is ready for another showdown.

This makes Ting an enemy of Komtuan, a gray-haired, wheelchair-bound crimelord who needs an electrolarynx to speak. He's been watching the fight from his private room, and losing money because Ting keeps beating his fighters. It is discovered that Ong-Bak was actually stolen by one of his henchmen, Don.

Meanwhile, back in Ting's village, there is bad luck indeed. The ground is dusty and full of cracks and all that's left in the village well is muddy water. They need the Buddha's head back for the drought to end and good luck to return to the village.

George keeps working shady deals, with he and Muay Lek working a scam at a baccarat game in an illegal casino. Eventually, the scams catch up with him, and the drug dealer shows up to give George a beating. Ting ignores George's cries for help, but when the drug dealer starts smacking Muay Lek around, Ting takes care of things. But then the drug dealer's friends and the cheated casino boss show up and a footchase through the alleys ensues. Ting helps George escape in exchange for his assistance in helping to find Don.

That night, there is another fight at the bar. Ting is egged on by Big Bear, a vulgar Australian fighter. At first, Big Bear attempts to provoke a fight with Ting by insulting Thai people. But after Big Bear beats another Thai man and assaults a waitress, Ting takes up the fight and easily beats the hulking man. He then must fight Toshiro, a very fast and flexible Japanese fighter. His final opponent is Mad Dog, another farang, who favors the use of such objects as chairs and tables to fight with. The fight takes them up to Komtuan's private booth. Komtuan hands Mad Dog a knife, but Ting quickly disarms him and then throws Mad Dog out of the viewing booth's glass right back onto the battle area. An African man steps into the ring to throw a coin at Ting's feet and at the same time, he gives Ting a thumbs up. This starts loud cheering from everyone who's just seen the fight go on. They also throw coins at Ting, much to the delight of George and Muay Lek.

Muay Lek, meanwhile, has been struggling to keep her older sister Ngek from using drugs. Ngek has fallen in with Don. On the bed, Ngek, following her sister's advice, says she wants to quit drugs. Don, in his anger violently suffocates her and stuffs her mouth with drugs. Muay Lek shows up at Don's apartment with George and Ting to find her struggling sister overdosed and near death. George and Ting take off and chase the boyfriend in tuk-tuks, with several of Don's men joining in. The tuk-tuks take to an elevated expressway, and the scene climaxes with many tuk-tuks driving off the edge of an unfinished portion of the highway.

Ting follows the bad guys and ends up at the port and in the Chao Phraya River, where he discovers a cache of stolen Buddha images. This leads back to the gangster Komtuan, who makes Ting fight one of his bodyguards who is a Burmese boxer and has been treating himself with drugs, making him full of rage and impervious to pain. Ting painfully loses the fight to meet Komtuan's demand for him to throw the fight in exchange for Ong-Bak's head. The following day, George, Ting and Muay Lek are kidnapped by Komtuan's henchmen. After Komtuan leaves and orders the henchmen to kill the three, Ting attacks the men with the assistance of George.

Ting and George follow the gangsters into a cave in a mountain, where the head of a giant Buddha image is being chiseled away. There is a final showdown, with Ting fighting off all of Komtuan's henchmen with George, who tries his hardest to fight them, but is still beaten badly. Komtuan's bodyguard injects himself with several shots of drugs at one time and attacks Ting. The bodyguard is defeated and seemingly killed by Ting. Komtuan then shoots Ting and attempts to crush Ong-Bak's head with a sledgehammer. George covers Ong-Bak's head with his body, taking the beatings from the sledgehammer to save Ong-Bak's head. At that moment, the giant Buddha head falls over, crushing Komtuan to death while George almost rolls away from its path, but he is crushed underneath. Although crushed from the head, Ting and Muay hear his last wish, for Muay Lek to graduate school and for Ting to look after her.

The head of the Ong-Bak Buddha statue is restored in the temple of Ting's village. Ting, now ordained as a monk with shaven head and white robes, arrives into the village in a procession on an elephant's back while the villagers and Muay Lek celebrate his ordination.

From the legend of this village, this Buddha Image was plundered from the village by Burmese soldiers during the ancient war between Thailand and Burma. Kru Dum (Teacher Dum), the brave Thai man, master of martial art, a great teacher of Muay Thai in this village, risked his life into Burmese troop to bring back the Buddha Image to the village.

'Roi Bak' on the face of Buddha Image was believed to be the miracle of his power to protect Kru Dum, it's the wound from the fight when Burmese soldiers tried to kill Kru Dum with sword but this mark was shown on the face of Buddha Image instead and Kru Dum was safe.

Since his mother working abroad, he was left with his eldest siblings. His sister is a college student and his brother is high school student. In the morning, he and his eldes siblings is going to school. After his class at 11am, he is then left in the house of his auntie while his brother and sister are still at school. Because of the situation of his family, he is not much expose to any kind of learning materials. But he is more expose in television, that is the reason why he already memorized every almost all advertisement that he already watched in TV.
In term of his knowledge, he is a slow learner child, he can write but he can't write his name without copy. He cannot count well and he cannot complete the alphabets.
Our target output are to teach him the alphabets correctly, how to count at least one to ten, how to write letters for beginners like consonant letters, we also want him to learn the different kinds of objects and shape. We target to build his foundation in understanding the lesson at least one of his subject.

Subject: Solving The Unsigned And Lost Beadle Form

Recently, our professor informed us that an unsigned and lost beadle form of some professors was causing it to experience deducting salary of them. Since this new rule was implemented in our university it was causing some problem to some professors and beadle students.

The beadle form that signed by the professor is today's salary basis. So if the professor missed to signed the beadle or if the beadle form was lost, the number of hours of teaching that indicate in the beadle form will be deducted to them. But sometimes it is not the fault of the teacher, my partner and I observed that some beadle students forgetting to pass the beadle form inside the beadle box. Some of them, pass the beadle form a day or a week after the professor signed the beadle. And instead of questioning the students, they questioning the professor.

So, here are some possible solution that we recommend to lessen the incident of unsigned and lost beadle form:

1. The professor should signed it on time.
2. The student should pass it on time.
3. The professor should have the rights to pass their beadle form after signing.

The professor should signed it on time

Upon entering the class, the assign beadle should approach immediately the professor to sign the beadle form or the professor should approach the assign beadle to sign it right a away. If ever the professor refuse to sign it or told his student "later, I will sign it", the assign beadle should not allow the professor, because it may cause of forgetting to sign the beadle after the class.

The student should pass it on time

The assign beadle should be responsible on passing the beadle form of their professor. To avoid the possibility of losing the beadle form. And to avoid of deducting the salary of the professor. And the professor can do reminding their student beadle to pass the B form.

The professor should have the rights to pass their beadle form after signing

We also recommend that it is more advisable if the professor itself who will be the one who will pass the beadle instead of the beadle student. If the only problem is not passing the beadle on time, why don't they let the professor pass their own B form.

Summary

1. The professor should signed their beadle form right away, to avoid missed signed B form.

2. The student should pass the beadle form right away so that they wont forget to pass it.

3. The professor should have the rights to pass their beadle form after signing to avoid missed placing or to lost the B form.

One of my principles in life is to become educator. This is my desire, which comes from deep within my heart to become a teacher. Actully, I am not an education major in holy angel university. But I am an English major which I can also teach in the future. I want to bring the education not only to those who can afford it but also to those who can't afford it. Who is them? The lower class citizens: POOR.

I am an educator, today, tomorrow and forever. I am an educator of life. Some people are born teachers while others acquire the skill. Teaching is really an art, art of learning, art of teaching, and art of changing.

It is an art of learning, which while teaching, I am also able to learn from my lesson and also from my lovely students. I can see my self in the future that everyday, upon entering in my classroom you will find a lively and colorful completely centered upon children and active learning.

It is an art of teaching, the job of teacher is to teach almost everything about learning. As an english major, my job is to teach the first language and literature. I have to teach and convey the information to the students in various ways so that the english language has a strong emphasis.

It is an art of changes, Is isn't it "childrens are the future" and as an educator it is my duty to bring them the education. Whithout education and knowledge how can an ordinary children change our world? That is the job of a teacher. To encourage the students to increase and improve their abilities, attitudes, and potential knowledge that is essential for a better foundation.

I have a simple philosophy: "Life is very short and what we have to do must be done today." I live a simple yet meaningful life, I have bad and good experience in life, I have regrets and compliments; With secrets and desires. My life is full of random events; with uncertain and certain things in air. I am crystal but not clear: I hate procrastinating things, but sometimes I am procrastinator. Since, Life is full of duties and events that no matter what you work on you are not working on everything else, I am not working on everything else. Yes, life is so short and I dis-valued it before but when the worst tragic things came in the life of my family, that it is the beginning of changing everything in every way in every day of my life.

The birth of Stone: Christal

My name is Christal H. Zapata. I was born in Mother Perpetual Hospital in Calapan,Oriental Mindoro. I was born at 10:15 in the morning, August 6, year 1991. I am 20 years old, I am the youngest daughter of Rosie Zapata and Florentino Zapata. We are just two: My eldest brother is Christopher Zapata. Since, my mom is fond of Chrystal stone and gems stone, where she get our names: Christopher, a long term for Chrystal and Chrystal, the finest stone turn to Christal, my finest name.

When I was three months old my parents decided to go abroad and they left us with my Auntie who lived in the province of Pampanga. I am already five years old when my mom came back. And my dad came back when I was nine years old. Because of their hard work and determination during their time in abroad, and because of the money they have gain from the sweat of their hard work, they can able to provide the needs that we need. They invested an apartment in Balibago, where we live. And the money from that apartment is the main source of our income in every day needs.

The Childhood days: Day care and Elementary

I am five years old when my parents decided to take me out of the house and introduced the reality of life. I was five years old when I studied Kinder at the school near our house. I was so careless during that day, and I am always involved in classroom-fight because of the crayons. What a funny part of my childhood days. Then when I was six years old, I studied elementary in Sto. Rosario Elementary School in Angeles. I am fond of joining extra curricular activity during my elementary years. I joined volleyball and badminton during that time. But the life of elementary students are not that hard yet challenging because I am just a child headed girl and I am confuse if I will just play or I will focus in school seriously. Isn't it during that time, we are so immature and we don't think of what will happen next after doing something or after delaying something that is important to do. And after six years struggling in elementary, I graduated and finish my elementary year 2004.

The HAU: Building my Self

I entered Holy Angel University a month after I graduated in Elementary. And I am not yet ready for the next level of learning. But then, like what others saying, the life of High school is meaningful and colorful. I met a lot of people with different personality: My classroom mate, my buddies of friends, my teacher and also those strangers who walked across my way. Different kind of people in one university, different people who owned different attitude and personality. But despite of our differences, I met a lot of friends who helped me to build my self. The teachers also involved in building my personality. When I was first year, I joined an event, where the students are free to participate in the classroom's competition. And, when I was second year, I joined a choir. But later on, when I became third year, my motivation in joining and participating in school activity became less. Maybe because, Many vises are getting nearer and nearer with me. And, when I step to fourth year high school, it was the year where I cannot decide for my future. After taking the NAT, and the result is pro-visionary, a sort of regret is snap my face. Maybe because I did not study well and it resulted into a lower average or maybe because the course that I am planning to take up is not my desire course.

The HAU: The result of

After graduating High school. I take up BS Nursing at the same school that I attended in High School: The Holy Angel University. I studied nursing because my parents want me to take it. I've follow the wants of my parents. I studied well and I also insist to passed it. Unfortunately, I did not passed and it only last for one year. After not passing the struggled life of nursing, I decided to take up BS Psychology. In CASE Department, I enjoy the company of Psychs students and also the company of my peer. I met a lot of people who keep on motivating me to study well and to stay in Psych. But being psychology major, it is not that easy task. I also studied well when I was still taking the Psychology but I guess that course is not really for me. I abandoned psychology and I am now gaining my knowledge in studying AB English together with my friend "Badang", Like the other course that I have take before, Ab English is not easy but I am getting used to it. Since, I have a lot of friends who motivated me well, and a teachers who also motivated me. And I guess, this course will be my last and final course.

The Worst Scenario

Before the year of 2011 came, a worst scenario came first in the life of my family. One person who influenced and motivated me since I was a child was gone. It was December 30 in the morning when my dad complained his stomach and we runned him in Garcia Hospital. After the diagnose, the doctor said that it might be a tumor cancer. And he was 24 hours critical within that day. December 31, when the doctor said that he is already stabled. When we heard that news, my mom decided to let me go home and take a rest. Then, December 31, 7:30 in the evening, my mom called me and said the news that my dad is already gone. Until now, I can't move on from this scenario. I lose my dad and we don't know how to start again a life without him. We really miss him but we have to move on. This year, I am still studying, and I promised to him that I will study well and finish my college as a reward to his love and hard work for us. Yes, Life is so short and what we have to do must done today, just today.

Scene 3: (Napadaan si F.D sa bahay ni Hector)

Hector: Hector! my friend.. nokarin ka munta?

F.D: Keng sinta ku..

Hector: Atin na kang tau?

F.D: ala pa par.. maglolo ku pa.

Hector: ayba naman.. bala ku sa atin nakaring tau.

F.D: ika ba par atin na?

Hector: wa naman. yaku pa.

F.D: sisinta ne!

Narrator: Isang araw napagtanto si Lidia na parang nawawalan na siya ng gana kay Hector, ngunit hindi niya alam kung paano niya ito maipapabatid sa kasintahan nang hindi masasaktan ang binata.

Scene 4: (magkasama si Lidia at si Hector)

Hector: Atin kang prob. honey ku?

Lidia: Ala.. Lupa ku bang mamroblema? hehe

Hector: Wa.. apapansin ku mu.. madalas kang tahimik ngeni.

Lidia: Dakal mung prob. keng bale.

Hector: makanta ba? pero kaluguran mu ku pa naman diba?

Narrator: natahimik ng isang oras ang dalaga sa tanong ng binata.

Lidia: ahh.. wa naman.. kaluguran daka.

Narrator: Pagkalipas ng isang linggo, na paulit ulit na ugali na ipinapakita ni Lidia kay Hector, nabatid narin ng binata na parang iba na ang ikinikilos ng dalaga, na tila hindi na siya ang isinisinta nito, ngunit gusto niyang manggaling kay Lidia ang sagot. Kaya naisipan niyang tawagan ang dalaga sa Iphone nito.

Scene 5: (Tumawag si Hector kay Lidia upang makausap ngunit tumanggi ang dalaga dahil may sakit ito)

Hector: Hello honey ku?

Lidia: Oh? (pabalang na sagot

Hector: Menanu ka? Ot makanyan ka ngeni?

Lidia: Ali daka buring kasabi!

Hector: bakit? menanu ka wari? ot e me sabiyan kaku.

Lidia: Ala. atin ku mung trangkaso.

Hector: puntalan daka.. buri mu?

Lidia: Ali muna ku.. ayus ku mu..

Narrator: Ipinatay na ni Lidia ang cellphone upang hindi na siya kulitin pa ng binata. Sa sobrang pag-iisip ng idadahilan ni Lidia kay Hector upang magbreak sila, ito ang dahilan kung bakit nagkasakit ang dalaga. Samantala, Si Hector ay papunta na sa bahay ng dalaga.. at nagkataong paalis si Miling at si F.D, may date daw sila. Nakita ni Hector si F.D at ang inaakala niyang Lidia na magkasama. Naisip ni Hector na marahil kaya ayaw ni Lidia na pumunta siya sa kanilang bahay dahil nagsisinungaling lamang ang dalaga na may sakit ito bugkos ay may kalaguyo pala ito. imbes na saktan niya si F.D ay hinalikan na lamang nito ang dalaga upang ipakita kay F.D na kasintahan niya ang inaakala niyang si Lidia.

Scene 6: (Nakita ni Hector si Miling at si F.D na magkasama)

Hector: (bumubulong sa sarili) Kaya pala ali naku buring munta karela.. megsinungaling ya pala kaku.. atin ya palang iba. Flirt!

(nilapitan ni Hector ang dalawa)

Hector: (hinalikan si Miling)

Miling: (sinampal si Hector)

F.D: (nagalit, tinulak si Hector) Aba par, tau ku ing kikiss mu ah!

Narrator: Pagkalipas ng ilang linggo bigla nalamang nawala ang binata na parang bula sa bayan ng pampanga, kasabay ng pagkawala nito ay may umalingasaw na balita sa bayan ng pampanga, mayroon daw bangkay na palutang lutang sa pampanga river na may saksak sa likod. Ou.. ito ang bangkay nang kaawa-awang si Hector.

Scene 7: (Nalaman ni Lidia na si F.D pala ang pumatay kay Hector)

Narrator: sa harap ng puntod ni Hector.

Lidia: ot gewa mu ita?

F.D: balakusa kasi aagaw ne e miling kaku eh

HELP FOR STRUGGLING READERS

In this journal, the teacher noticed that several fourth or fifth-grade students are having a problem when it comes to reading a grade-level texts. When children enter the upper grades unable to read proficiently, their academic performance rapidly spirals down-ward. Without effective intervention, struggling upper-grade readers are likely to experience frustration and failure as they move into middle school and beyond. Shira Lubliner, studied how she can help those students having a hard time when it comes to reading comprehension, She come up with some of the theories and solution of the problem of most of her students.

Children sometimes master the mechanics of early reading in the primary grades but fail to inter grate decoding and comprehension processes. They also develop the habit of skipping words and skimming the surface of the text. these ineffective reading habits result to the reading failure in upper-grade students: Lack of fluency, limited background knowledge, lack of memory, lack of ability to draw inferences and vocabulary deficits. Shira Lubliner focuses to her three struggling readers or students: Janis, was identified as struggling reader due to her poor work and obvious frustration. John, was identified as struggling reader when he failed a social studies test after he had worked hard and tried to studies the material in the book. and lastly, David, also was identified as struggling reader.

The solution: Janis, John and David participated in a wide variety of literacy activities with the rest of fifth-grade class. Thematically, related instruction was designed to help children acquire back-ground knowledge that would strengthen comprehension of the literature and textbook. First, the intervention model, this strategy is based on the cognitive strategy research. Theories have identified cognitive strategies as the tools that children use to manage the information processing system. The four reciprocal teaching: Questioning, clarifying, summarizing and predicting. But in this four reciprocal, the questioning generation convinced her that this was the powerful and practical strategy that could provide her struggling readers with the help they needed. Second, self-generated, main-idea questioning, She found that a specific idea of a text was an essential component of many successful interventions. When student were taught to generate the main-idea questions they were forced to comprehend as they read. The reason why this method is effective in improving children's reading comprehension is that it helps children manage the complex series of information processing tasks involved in proficient reading. Third, She design an instructional sequence, it was based on a questioning Cue Card. She uses the picture on the book cover to activate the students' background knowledge and to spark their interest in reading. This instructional sequence continue with additional modeling by the teacher, responses by the students and coaching the students as they attempt to generate their own main-idea questions. And lastly, Implementing the intervention, Shira worked with Janis, John and David by using the intervention strategy. Using grade level texts for a reading comprehension intervention helps to prepare struggling readers for successful participation in whole-class instruction.

After reading and criticizing the whole journal I come up with the one solution: The teachers have to wait for natural processes of acquisition to take place before they can help the learner. Learners cannot learn a feature which is further than the subject's developmental stage. In the case of Janis, John and David they should learned and practiced the reading skills in their earlier years of school but unfortunately they don not have strong foundation. But like what journalist said in her final word, when primary reading instruction falls short, it is not too late to provide a powerful reading intervention to children who entered the upper grades without adequate reading comprehension skills. With a rich literacy environment (not just only the teachers but also the classmates, buddies, and parents can help the struggling students) with an emphasis on vocabulary acquisition, and instruction in multiple cognitive strategies an likely to be the help to struggling readers.

“TINIG NI MAMA”

“Baagg! Baagg! Baagg! Ate!” sigaw ni JayR, Hay nako! nagising na naman ako sa lakas ng kalabog ng pinto, eto na naman si JayR papasok na at kailangan ng baon. Dahan dahan kong binuksan ang pinto at iniabot ang Bente Pesos na baon niya. Pagkaabot ng pera, dali dali na siyang bumaba sa hagdan at tuluyan ng lumabas ng bahay. At ako naman, dali dali na namang lumapit sa aking pinakamamahal na kama.

“Len! Kain na! bumaba ka na diyan at tayo’y kakain na!”, bigla akong nagising ulit, kakain na daw. Bumangon ako ulit at dahan dahan kong ibinaba ang aking mga paa sa hagdan, medyo pikit pa ang mata ko sa kabila, at may muta pa na katabi sa kaliwa. Habang ako’y pababa ng sala, hindi ko mapaliwanag ang nararamdaman ko. Rinig na rinig ko ang pabulong na pulso ng aking dibdib at unti unting bumibilis habang ako’y unti unting napapalapit sa unang palapag ng aming bahay. Pag tungtong ng aking kaliwang paa sa unang palapag, dali dali kong inilingon ang aking ulo sa pinaroroonan ng aming hapag kainan. Pag lingon ko sa mesa, biglang tumigil ang mabilis na pulso ng aking dibdib at natawa nalamang ako sa aking sarili. “Naku! Sa kabilang bahay pala yon”. Nakalimutan ko na naman, kame lang palang dalawa ng aking kapatid sa bahay.

Ilang buwan narin akong ganito, nakakarinig ng tinig ng Ina sa kalapit na bahay, habang isinisigaw ang pangalan ng kanilang anak. Hinahanap hanap ko parin ang ganoong eksena sa buhay ko. Hinahanap hanap ko ang pagkaing inihain ni Mama sa mesa, ang kaluskos ng tambo sa sala, mga amoy ng bagong sinampay na damit sa harap ng bintana, mga tugtugin ng Aegis na paulit ulit na parang sirang plaka, at mga sermon na madalas na nakakarindi sa tenga.

Walong buwan na simula nung huli ko siyang nakasama, walong buwan ko na rin syang hindi nakakakwentohan, walong buwan na mula ng huli ko siyang mayakap at mahalikan. Kamusta na kaya si Mama sa Thailand? Nangayayat na kaya siya don? Sana naman.

Ganun pa man, sanay na ako sa ganitong pahina ng araw ko. Tutal lumaki naman ako na hindi siya nakakapiling, maraming taon na rin na madalas wala siya sa aming siping. Ilang “Merry Christmas at Happy New Year” na nga rin siyang absent eh, buti nalang last year nakahabol pa siya sa Noche Buena at putukan ng mga paputok sa labas ng pinto. Pero okay lang yon, tulad ng sabi ko kanina, SANAY NA KO.

Ngunit kahit wala si mama, walang masasakit na salita mula sakin ang kaniyang narinig. Walang pangungunsensya at pangingising lumabas sa aking labi. Naiintindihan ko kung bakit wala siya sa ngayon, marahil wala siyang choice kundi ang umalis. Naiintindihan ko kung bakit madalas, hindi siya nakakatawag sa amin, marahil siguro wala siyang pambili ng card para pang tawag. Naiintindihan ko kung baki’t minsan hindi manlang siya makapag padala ng allowance sa bahay. Naiintindihan ko kung minsan praning siyang magsalita sa akin, nag iisa nga naman akong babae, tapos mabubuntis pa? “Hahaha.. naniniwala pa rin siya sa mga hula ng iba”. Naiintindihan ko rin kung baki’t hindi siya nakauwi nung birth day ko, imbis na ipang uwi niya ang natitira niyang pera, ipinadala nalamang niya dito upang pang handa.

May 10, 2010, 18^th Birthday ko na. Dumating ang lahat ng mga importanteng tao sa buhay ko, sila Tita, Tito, Ninang, mga kaibigan ko, mga badang, bhesxie, ka-greenwich, kapatid ko kay papa, papa, at siyempre si Tams. Pagkatapos ng 18^th Roses, sumunod naman ang 18^th Candles, duon matinding imosyon na ang aking naramdaman mula sa mga mensahe ng aking mga kaibigan. Maya maya pa may biglang nagsalita sa Mic, “Happy Birthday anak! Oh 18^th kana matanda ka na, pero maliit pa rin, hehe. Huwag ka sanang magtatampo kay Mama ah? Alam mo namang ginagawa ko lahat ng ito para sainyo.” Pahinto hintong pagbati ni Mama. “Opo ma!” sagot ko naman. Maya maya nag salita na naman siya “Kung may magagawa lang ako anak, mas gusto ko na kasama ko nalang kayo, huwag mong pababayaan ang pag-aaral mo huh.. kalesa ni juan.. nasan na nga ba?

Maliban sa JEEPNEY isa ring pangunahing transportasyon nuon ang KALESA o KARITELA. Ang kalesa ay mula sa mga espanyol at as usual na adopt natin to. :) Nung kapanahunan ni Manong Kutsyero (tama ba spelling?), ang mga mayayaman lamang ang may kakayahang makasakay sa kalesa. Di kase afford ni Juan before, ngayong afford na afford naman na eh wala nang may crush kay kalesa. hay~

Sa ngayon, madalang nalang ako makakita ng kalesa na may pasahero. Ang mga kalesa sa tabi ng Jenra Mall dito sa Angeles Pampanga pakalbo na ng pakalbo. Sa Manila naman, sa Intramuros nalang ako nakakakita nito. Good thing, pang tourist attraction ang lolo Kalesa mo! :P

FLASH BACK... naalala ko pa nung bata pa ko, nung unang sakay ko sa kalesa.. sobrang sarap sa pakiramdam! wooh! yahh!! Pero isang beses lang yon at hindi na naulit pa. haay~ :(

Kaya namang nung makita ko tong kalesang ito na may dala dalang basket na tinda! wow! may ganito pa pala. Ang huling pagkakita ko nito eh 6 years old pa ko.

Nakakalungkot nga lang isipin na ang kulturang pinoy ay pawala na ng pawala, pakalbo na ng pakalbo, pabura na ng pabura sa mga puso't isipan ng mga Juanito't Maria Clara ni pareng Pinas. Dahil sa pa hi-tech na ng pa hi-tech na si Mr.Juan. Sunod na sunod sa uso ang mga jejemons natin! sabi nga nila "dhivalehH nh4ng mUkh4n6 as0h as4 us0h n4mhan.." diba? XD

Minsan nga pala naisip ko.. kasabayan ko nalang sana sila lolo't lola. Ayoko sa henerasyong ito!! :( halo halong polusyon, dumi, at baho ng mga gigilid ng mamamayan. well, anu ba namang laban ng isang cute na 4'10 na anghel tulad ko sa isang dambuhalang lupisak (butiki) na may hawak na tubig? at duon.. pinaliguan ako.. haay~ nako. masaya na nakakalungkot!

Greetings! :)

maraming salamat sa mga naghihintay ng update dito sa blog ko^^

*PIZZA... ang pizza ay nagmula pa sa ITALYA na na-adopt na nating mga Pinoy~~~ lam niyo naman tayo^^, masyado tayong maraming originality, pero hindi tungkol sa mga pinoy ang istorya ko.. tungkol saaken.. oo sa aken..

Sa ngayon, akoy naglalakbay sa loob ng isang pirasong pizza pie at ako'y hindi makalabas.. huhu
Ang hirap palang mabuhay sa loob ng isang pizza crust na may special cheese at mayroong 40 piraso ng pepperoni sa ibabaw ng mozzarella cheese.. haaay~ grabe dalawang buwan na ko dito.. kelan kaya ako makakalaya?

Nakakapagod na nakakatamad ang trabaho sa loob ng isang maliit na booth na bukud tanging kasama mo ay ang mga pizza pie mo at ang pizza pie mo at ang pizza pie mo.. oh sige na nga isama na natin si mr.tropiccoolers at ang mga alaga kong cockroaches sa ilalim ng pizza warmer.. haay~ araw araw ko nalamang silang kasama, kaylan kaya ko makakapasok sa loob ng kitchen at sa pasta naman maupo at hindi sa inodoro?

magkano lang naman ang sahod, tamang tama lang sa kumakalam na sikmura ng maliit na tao sa loob ko.. naalala ko pa nung interview..

3rd: to achieve something.. yung something na yon.. naging someone.. :) isa lang masasabi ko~ "I GOT HIM :)"

Anung theme song ng mahihirap? edi si Manny Villar! haha usong uso na tong kantang to. Kahit saan pa man tayu mag punta naririnig natin to. Kahit nga sa loob lang paaralan, madaming estudyanteng bored sa buhay ang kumakanta nito (katuwaan lang ng ilan).

Sa tingin niyo sa sobrang daming patalastas ni Villar eh mananalo sya? karapat dapat nga ba talaga sya sa posisyon? Mahirap mag tiwala, lalo na sa ganyan kalaking posisyon.

Ikaw? nakaligo ka na ba sa dagat ng basura? nag pasko ka na ba sa gitna ng kalsada? (kame madalas^^ sa gitna ng kalasada ng harapan ng bahay namin XD) yan ang tanung namin.. tunay ka bang isa sa amin? nalaman mo na ba na mapag aaral ka nia? tutulungan tayo para mag katrabaho. at ang kaniyang plano'y mag kabahay tayo. If you could go back in time 10 years and tell your younger self something, what would it be?

gusgusing bata na pakalat kalat sa bakanteng lote sa harapan ng bahay namin kasama pa ang ilang mga yagit kong kababata habang naglalako ng bahay bahayan at lutulutuan. Kasama ang asa-asawa namin at anak-anakan namin habang naglilibot sa park sa kabilang kanto ng bahay namin. At marahil siguro ay sa mga oras na ito (10 years before) ay umaakyat nako sa itaas ng bubung (este bahay pala) namin papunta sa palayan ng likod lang ng bahay namin. At marahil ay kumukuha nako ng mais at tubo kasama ang mga kababata ko, at maya maya hahabulin na kame ng may-are ng tubo na may hawak hawak na itak sa kamay niya. Sa kakamadali nakalimutan ko pa ang tsinelas ko. Pag katapos uuwi sa bahay na gusgusin at punong puno ng putik. Lintik! ayan na ang sinturon at kuko ng lolo kong pandak na pilay pilay! patay! papaluin na naman kame niyan. At dahil babae ako, ako ang mas papaluin (kababaing tao ko daw kung san san ako lumulusot! umaakyat!) ng sinturon at kukurutin sa singit hanggang sa mamula ito at mag mukhang napaso sa kamatis. Aray! :( ang sakit nun!

May mga bagay na kadalasang nanyayare sa isang BLOG na minsan hindi natin namamalayang nanyayare pala o kaya naman aware tayo pero ayaw nating aminin sa iba. may mga nilista akong mga bagay na sa palagay ko ay ginagawa ng karamihan (teknik kung baga) para lang maging makulay at mabuhay ang kanilang tahanan~> BLOG (blogger.com man or wordpress pa)

MGA KATOTOHANAN SA MUNDO NG MGA BLOGGISTA^^

1. Pag may blog kana.. syempre hahanap ka ng mga followers.. teknik jan? magvivisit ka ng mga blog na pakalat kalat sa webpage.. o kaya naman pindot si next blog sa dashboard sa taas _ _ _-^

2. Mas maganda kung may maganda kang blog templates.. mas CUTE mas OKAY!.. mas Astig mas ALIVE!! yeah~ mas creative mas KAPANSINPANSIN!! (kahit minsan OA na sa design~)
pero eto ang masaklap.. sa kagustuhang mapaganda ang blog hindi maiwasan ang makalimutang idownload muna ang old template bago palitan ng bago.. ang resulta?~>mga nawawalang widgets :(

3. Pag nagbukas ng blog, unang tinitignan kung may comments ang mga pinost na topic.

4. Pag walang comments.. ang gagawin? magvivisit ng mga blogger friends then mag popost ng shout out sa CBOX.. "blog walking.." "napadaan lang po" "hi nice blog" (khit hindi tutuo) "hi visiting you.. visit back!" (sabay lagay ang link ng blog nila..) "hi.. exchange link?" 7. Madalas sabihin ng mga bloggista na "hindi impostante kung mabasa man ang post ko ang importante nailabas ko ang mga gusto kong sabihin". pero ang tutuo~ kaya ka nagpost para mabasa ng iba. (tama o mali?)

8. Madalas natin ipromote ang ating blog sa~> facebook, friendster (palubog na friendster!! haha), twitter, plurk.. at kung saan saan pa!

9. Friendly din tayo sa mga ka co-blog natin :) less sungit, less away! :) en less sira sa reputasyon ng blog natin! yan tayo medyo plastic and pachena chena lang sa iba (ou o hindi?) pakisapukan aqh kung mali :(

10. mahilig din natin ilagay yung link ng twitter natin :)

11.Padamihan din ng mga AWARDS^^ kahit minsan yung mga pinagbibigyan natin eh hindi deserves yung award (joke^^ ata hehe)

12. Mahilig tayung mag post ng mga new uploaded pictures natin^^ sing kagandahan ng profile pics. para pag hikayat ng mga readers.

13. Mahirap mag isip ng topic para sa bagong ipopost.. minsan umaabot ng ilang araw, linggo o minsan ilang buan (inaamag na yung last post) bago mag post ng bagong topic.

14. Minsan ang ilan.. supperrr NOSE BLEED na kaka-ENGLISH!! eh kung hindi ka ba naman engot~ mag post ba naman ng english. Eh talagang mangangamote ka talaga! pero maliban nalang kung talagang best in english ka sa klase (talagang pachilax chilax lang ang mag-post ng english)
ako aaminin ko-------- BOBO si EDXAII sa english! (kahit i click mu pa to) secret lang yun ah. huag mung sabihin sakaniya baka sapukin ako! ahaha

15. Karamihan sa mga Pinoy bloggers eh Fan si Manny (Pacquiao o Villar?) haha mali pala. karamihan sa aten eh fan si BO! (si ka-Bob Ong) ou yun.. si ka-bob! yung nag pauso ng magbasa ng baliktad at abnkkbsnplak.. bravo! XD

16. Palaging may picture na kalakip ang mga post naten.. madalang lang ang mga walang picture.

17. Mahilig tayung mag kwento ng mga walang kakwenta kwentang pang araw araw na buhay natin, pero minsan may kwenta naman (eh kung wala lage.. baka hindi na balikan si blog natin).

18. Sa blog natin nailalabas ang tinatagong talent: photography, singing, artistic minded like drawing, pag rereview ng mga movies, television shows, writing: story, poem, scripts.. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.. maraming etc. etc. etc. haha)

19. Sa blog marami tayong na uutong mga readers! ahahha nagpopost tayo ng mga list ng ka-blog naten (para ipost din nila ang saaten) at ganun din ang iba, kasi tayung mga bloggista mababait tayo at mapagbigay.. mapagmahal pa sa kapwa bloggista (kahit minsan inookray na natin yung blog nila) haha ang sama eh nuh? hmm...

20. Pero meron rin namang talagang tutuo sa aten.. "kaya tayo nag bablog para makilala tayo.." tama? ayyy~ daming kumontra! ou na.. para mailabas ang gusto nating mailabas, para mashare ang mga gusto nating ishare, para ituro ang gusto nating ituro, para ipakilala ang Pilipinas (Filipino), para ipakilala ang produktong natin, para matutu sa iba, para makakilala ng mga bagong kaibigan, para may pamasahe na tayo sa Quiapo! aha at para ipromote din ang kakikayan natin (yan ang pinoy eh.. "KAGANDAHAN"

Ang Kagandahan ay maaaring karakter ng tao, bagay, hayop, lugar o anu mang may kinalaman sa kasiyahan ng mata. Anu mang bagay na napapakinang ang ating mga paningin ay maganda (para saken at sa iba). Ngunit anu nga ba ang tunay na kahulugan ng maganda? Maganda pa sa kahulugang literal ang tinutukoy ko. Ang MAGANDA! ou ang MAGANDA ang tinutukoy ko pare.. yung babaeng naka-mini skirt sa tindahan, ang kinis! hindi yun ang tinutukoy ko!
Ang kagandahan ay nasa isip at puso natin, nasa tao ang ganda! tayo ang maganda! ou tayo at wala nang iba! (mag-diwang! ahha)

Ang KAGANDAHAN.. ay naaayon sa kung anu ang tingin natin sa isang bagay. Kung papaano ito nagiging maganda sa mata ko, mata mo, at mata natin. Hindi kaylangan ng kagandahan sa pisikal na anyo, ang kagandahan ay nasa PUSO, at kung papaanu natin to nakikita. Ang Kagandahan ay nasa mata ng may hawak. Tulad ng mga bulaklak na may ibat ibang karakter, ang kagandahan ay ganun din. May mga bulaklak na mabangao at meron ding mabaho. Ngunit diba kahit ganu man ito kabaho ay nangingibabaw pa ren ang kagandahan nito sa panlabas na kaayuan? May mga bagay na maganda lang sa labas pero sa loob may tinatago rin palang kapangitan. Ang kagandahan, tulad ng gumamelang may ibat ibang kulay, may kagandahan na nagmumula sa mga likha ng manglilikha, tulad nalang ng mga pintor. Ibat ibang istilo ang ginagamit, ibat ibang kulay ang ipinagsasamasama upang makabuo ng obra~ maganda, nakakabilib. May mga bulaklak na hindi lang paro paro ang dumadapo, meron ding mga bulaklak na dinadapuan ng langaw. Ou langaw.. na ang ibigsabihin hindi lahat ng maganda ay para lang sa maganda o gwapo. Kung sinu man ang gustong dumapo, maaaring dumapo. Hindi ko alam kung papaanu gumawa ng isang repleksyon ng kagandahan sa bulaklak. Siguro marahil ay nasanay na tayung isinisimbolo ng bulaklak ang kagandahan. Anu nga ba ang isensya ng bulaklak sa atin? Siguro yan lamang ang maisasagot ko ng maayos. Ang isensya ng bulaklak sa atin ay hindi yung kulay, laki, hugis o amoy nito. Ang tunay na isensya nito ay ang kasiyahang idinudulot nito sa tuwing makakakita tayo ng bulaklak at sa tuwing may nag aalay nito sa aten. Maraming isensya ang bulaklak, nag sisilbi rin tong pag damay sa kapwa lalu na kung may patay. Hindi na marahil magkatugma ang sinasabi ko sa topic, pero ito lamang ang alam kong paraan para maipahiwatig ang ibigsabihin ng kagandahan. Ang kagandahan ay kung anung isensya ng isang bagay, bulaklak man o langaw man. Ang kagandahan ay kung papaanu natin tinatanggap ang isang bagay na nagpapasaya sa aten. Kung papaanu natin tinatanggap ang isang bagay na panget, kung papaanu natin nakikita ang isang bagay hindi lamang sa panlabas na kaanyuan kundi pati narin sa panloob na kaanyuan.

I was there, inside your womb
for about 2 moths and 3 days
its my 3rd month when i'm gone

pushing me out, cutting our lace

saying "mom don't do this to me!"

i heard a story about this man
who love that girl with all his heart

he love that girl in all the time

he used to write a letter for her
to make her know that he care
he used to write a poem for her
to show his love forever

they always in the library
he sang a song silently
telling that he love her passionately
showing he can wait patiently

but the girl has a man
she love that man all the time
she love that man with all desire
and she love that guy with all her heart

the man sang a song for her
she listen but she’s not fair
she love being with him
but she love her man more than him

time passed by
the two of them still at the library
waiting for the time of their class hour
but the man waiting for the heart of her love one

at the middle of the story
the man continue writing a letter
writing a story came from his mind
writing a poem from his hand to her heart

but at the end of the story
the girl continue the reality..
the man has a right but his right is a crime
the man always write but at the end just HE CRIED..

Goodmorning! bungad ni tita Lhou saken kanina. "oh wala kang pasok?" tanung niya, "hmm..mamaya pang 12.." so nahiya ulit ako.
Then kinuha ko yung Cellphone, tinignan ko kung nag text si Glenn **n. Kaso walang message galeng sakaniya.

May no. na hindi nakasave sa phonebook ko ang nagtext. eto ang text niya..

"Dear Student, I see that you're tired. I tell you, drop your book and rest for a while. Why woryy too much about the fight? Smile. Be Confident. All you hve to do is to prepare well and be in school. Then, against the hundred questions that tried to destroy you, there i'll stand and rescue you. Nung natapos ko nang basahin yung message, napaisip ako. Ou nga nu, parang nakakatamad mag-aral, nakakatamad pumasok, nakakatamad mag-review, nakakatamad mag-report. Bakit pa nga ba naten kaylangan mag-aral? pwede naman mag asawa kagad. haay~ pero male! suppeerr male! dapat mag-aral! kawawa naman si mama na nagpapagod magtrabaho para lang makapag-aral ako. At para rin naman saken yun, pag nakapag tapos nako, makakakuha ako ng magandang trabaho na hiyang sa talento ko. kawawa naman si mama kung bibiguhin ko..

Isa sa mga pangarap ko sabuhay ang makarating ng Quiapo. Sinu nga bang may ayaw? diba? Ngunit, parang napakahirap para saken ang makarating duon. Anu pa nga bang inaasahan ko? ang iba nga hirap na hirap din makapunta dun, maraming kaylangan daanan, maraming stop over, maraming gustong sumakay. Minsan pa nga, andun na nga sila, bumabalik pa sa pinang galingan. Para bang nagsayang lang sila ng oras, pagod at pamasahe.

Sa ngayun, nagsisimula nakong magbyahe patungong Quiapo. hindi ko pa alam kung paanu ako magsisimula o nasimulan ko na nga ba talaga? Si Anton.. Isa sa mga nagtutulak saken para magpatuloy sa byahe. Buti pa sya may pamasahe nang dala, eh ako? hindi ko pa sigurado kung may dala nga ba talaga kong pamasahe, ning baon nga yata wala eh. Ipinakilala ni Anton kung saan sya nakakuha ng pamasahe-- "Anvil Publishing Inc". Ipinakilala niya rin yung baon nya, trip to quiapo a ni Ricky Lee

Mahirap daw ang magsulat, sabi ni Anton. Ngunit kung kaya mu namang mamuhunan, bakit hindi ko raw subukan? "pero ewan ko.. sana kayanin mo.. kasi mahirap talaga.." sabi ni Anton. Yun na nga ang problema ko, wala na nga kong pamasahe, puhunan pa kaya? o baka meron nga ko, hindi ko lang kayang mag widraw sa bangko dahil masyado pang mababa ang savings ko. At isa pa takot akong maHOLD-UP! baka masayang lang ang puhunan ko. "walang pera sa pag-susulat!" at "kung gusto mung yumaman, huag dito, sa iba nalang.." dagdag pa niya.

Naku! kakatakot naman sumabak sa gera. O san ako magsisimula? sinisimulan ko naman nang basahin ang "trip to Quiapo" parang ang hirap paren. Ay~ tanga! sabi nga pala ni Ka-Ricky hindi ako tuturuan ng librong yon para magsulat. BUHAY ANG GAGAWA.
Ou nga pala! buhay ang gagawa. tama! tama! tama! hahahahahaha natatawa nalang ako sa sarili ko. Anu naman maganda sa buhay ko na pwede kong pag higutan ng himahinasyon?

Gusto ko sanang magsimula sa mahirap, saka ko babagsak sa madali. Pero sabi ni Anton.. "mas maganda kung tagalog.. kasi pag tagalog maraming babasa ng nobel mo, hindi tulad pag english, mga marurunong lang magbasa ng english ang makakintindi. Gusto ko lahat kayang basahin ang gawa ko.. kahit mahirap pa sila.." isa na namang malalim na paninindigan na hinigot pa sa ikaila-ilaliman ng maliit na tao sa loob ni Anton yung narinig ko sakaniya. Ang nasagot ko nalang.. "WOW!" wala akong masabi.

Masaya ko para kay Anton.. May nobela na sya! yes! hinihintay nalang yung part 3 niya, tapos ipupublish na! YAHOO!! :) ako rin sana.. haay~ parang gusto ko na atang huminto sa byahe, papaiwan nalang ata ko dito, dito sa hintayan ng bus. Mag hihintay nalang ata ako ng ibang paroroonan, parang hindi ko ata kayang magbyahe sa Quiapo. Pero may baon naman ata ko eh.

Habang pauwi ako galing school kanina, nakita ko na naman yung matandang babae na nakaupo sa gilid ng malaking bahay. Naghihintay ng limos sa bawat taong dumadaan. Sa araw araw na ginawa ng dyos di mo na mabilang ang taong dumadaan duon. Pero napakadaling bilangin ng mga pisong dumadampi sa basong hawak hawak ng matandang babae. Nakakalungkot isipin na sa dami raming taong nakakakita sa kanya iilan lamang ang talagang nakakapansin sakanya.

Sa may tulay, sa gilid ng eskwelahan, at kahit sa gitna pa ng daan. Iba't ibang matatanda ang nakikita ko. Napakabagal ng ikot ng buhay nila. Napakabagal kumpara saten. Napakabagal na nga, binibilang pa nila ang mga natitirang araw nila dito sa mundo. Nakakaiyak isipin nu? mabubuhay ka pero mamamatay din. Mula sa unang araw mo sa mundo hanggang sa pagtanda't kamatayan mu. May ilan pa nga hindi na umaabo't sa pagtanda, namamatay na sa sakit o kaya naman sa aksidente.
Pero kung tutuusin mas maswerte pa nga sila eh, sila nakakapag pahinga na pero ang ilang matatandang may buhay pa kinakapos na ng hininga. Kinakapos na nga ng hininga, kinakapos pa ng suporta sa mga taong dapat eh nag aalaga sakanila.

Mula pa nung bata ko, takot na kong tumanda. Ilang taon na nga ba ko ngayon? 17 years old na kong nabubuhay sa mundo. Hanggang kaylan kaya ko mananatili dito? hanggang kaylan kaya ko uupo't mananahimik lang sa tabi? hanggang kaylan kaya ko magpapakain sa sistema ng buhay natin? hanggang kaylan kaya ko magbubulag bulagan sa kung anung dapat kong gawin? hanggang kaylan? yan lang naman ang tanong ko eh. Kasi hanggang ngayun hindi ko alam kung panu ko ba sisimulan.

Nakakatakot tumanda, tutuo yun. Kay sarap naman kasing umupo sa pag kabata, halos ayaw mu nang tumayo para harapin ang pagtanda. Walang problema, laro lang ang nasa isip. Pero pag tumatanda kana, parami na ng parami ang mga problema. Halos wala nang katapusan, Diba?

Kadalasan ang mga bata nagmamadaling tumanda, nagmamadali sa buhay kala mu naman mauubusan. Pero pag andun na sila, gustong gustong bumalik sa pag kabata. Lahat naman tayo gustong bumalik dun. Kung pwede nga lang manatili dun, mananatili tayo eh. Kaso iba sa tutuong buhay. Mabilis ang paglakad, oo minsan matatrapik ka pero darating at darating ka ren dun.

Para saken, ang pag tanda ang pinaka worst na parte ng buhay natin. Pag matanda kana parang wala ka nang silbi sa mata ng iba. Minsan ultimo pamilya mo mismo. Palamunin, alagain at sakitin pa. Panu naman ang responsibilidad nila sayo? Anu yun? nakalimut na sila? o nakain narin ng sistema ng buhay na ginagalawan natin?

Mga matatandang pinabayaan na ng pamilya. Mga matatandang kinalimutan na ng sistema. Mga matatandang para sa ilan wala nang silbe sa buhay at kaylangan nang mag paalam. Nakakaawa, nakakaiyak, nakakainis, nakakakonsensya. Ang mga apong dagdag pa sa kunsomisyon nila. Mga anak, apo, kamag anak na hindi marunong gumalang. Ang iba nananalangin pang mawala na sila.

Nung minsan, nag patahi kame ng uniform ni tal. Matandang uugod ugod na't may salamin ang nanahi ng uniform namin. Nakakalungkot na nakakagaan ng loob. Nakakalungkot kase sa tanda nilang yon sila parin bumubuhay sa mga anak at apo nila. Nasaksihan pa namin ang pag abo't niya ng pera sa apo nyang malapit na ang kaarawan. Naalala ko tuloy ang lola ko sa father side, sa tuwing kaarawan ko may isang daan pa kong natatanggap sa kaniya, na imbes na pambili nya nalang ng gamot, ibibigay niya pa saken. Naalala ko rin si "mommy", lola ko sa mother side. Ou sugarol sya pero ramdam mo parin ang pag alaga niya, simula pagkabata sya nang kasama ko, sya nang nag alaga saken at mag pahanggang ngayon sya paren ang nag aalaga sa ilan ko pang pinsan. kaarawan nga ng lolo ko kahapon. Kita ko sa mga mata nya yung lungkot at saya na nararamdaman nya. Masaya kase dumating kame ng mga apo nya at naalala pa ang kaarawan nya. Malungkot kase hindi sya sigurado kung sa susunod na taon may kaarawan pang maipagdiriwang.

Nakakatakot ang tumanda. 17 na ko, mag e-18, mag na-19, tapos 20 na. 30, 40 at hindi pa sigurado kung aabot pa ng 50. Nakakatakot ang tumanda. Sana bumagal pa ang buhay, kung saan konti pa ang problemang dumadaan. Sana sa mga bawat araw na dumarating saten ay sya ring araw na dumaragdag sa buhay nila.

Sana ang ilan na hindi marunong magpahala sa mga matatanda maisip nilang dapat parin silang pag halagaan. Dahil maikli lang ang buhay, sana matutu tayong mag pahalaga dito. Don't waste your time sa kung ano anung bagay na istorbo sa buhay natin. Sana sa pag tanda natin may mga tao paring makaalala saten. Sana may maabot tayo bago pa tayo kapusin ng hininga. Parang napakawalang kwenta ng sinulat ko para sa ilan. Siguro masasabi nyo sa sarili nyong nag sayang lang kayo ng oras sa pag basa nito. Pero sana sa pag tanda nyo... kahit wala nang ngipin.. may ngiti pa rin.. :)

Ang jeep ay isa sa pangunahing transportasyon sa pilipinas. Pinamana pa satin to ng mga amerikano nung patapos na ang world war II. Ang salitang jeepney ay mula pa sa salitang "jeep" and "jitney" or "jeep" and "knee" na ang ibig sabihin ay face-to-face seating. Lam nyu ba yun? hindi siguro nu? kasi sakay lang tayu ng sakay, kung minsan wala naman talaga tayung pakelam sa pinagmulan ng mga bagay bagay sa mundo eh.

Kasama na sa pang araw araw na buhay natin ang pag sakay sa jeep. Naghihintay, nag aabang, pumipila, at kung minsan pa nga'y nag hahabul para lamang makasakay. Iba't ibang tao ang nakakasalamuha mo sa loob ng jeepney, nakakatabi, nakikilala at kung minsan pa nga'y nag kakainlaban. Iba't ibang uri ng tao ang nakakasakay natin, may estudyante, empleyado, simpleng tao, may maarte, may pawisan, may nagtitinda sa palengke daladala ang kanyang paninda, may gulay, tilapya at palaka.

Pati nga rin nag titinda ng taho nakakasakay rin natin. Siksikan sa loob at sa sobrang init pinagpapawisan na kahit ganu pa kaganda pumapanget. Nakakainis minsan ang mga driver na naghihintay pa ng pasahero, late ka na nga sa school lalo ka pang nalelate, na kung tutuusin naman eh talagang kasalanan nating mga estudyanteng nagpuyat sa gabi at nahuli sa pag gising.

Maraming nakakatawang panyayari, minsan si lola mura ng mura wala naman kaaway. Mga matatandang kwentuhan ng kwentuhan bandang huli di naman pala magkakilala. Si manong driver mura rin ng mura lalo na kapag traffic na. Nakakainis minsan pero ayos lang nasanay naren.

Kahit ako man marami ring nakakatawang kwento sa jeep. Minsan jeep ang ginagawa kong library, kahit nakakahilo, kahit medyo malabo na mata ko, pipilitin at pipilin ko paring matapos ang binabasa ko. Ang hirap pa kapag nakakatawa yung binabasa ko kay hirap pigilan yung tawa. Madalas pa ko makatulog sa jeep nun, nakanganga at pagod na pagod. Madalas pa kong mapasobra ng bababaan. Lagi nalang lumalampas. Nakakainis na nakakatawa diba?

Pero ang talagang gusto ko kapag nakasakay ako sa jeepney. Iba't iba pumapasok sa utak ko. Ang dami kong naiisip, tungkol sa buhay ko. Sa mga panyayari, kwento at mga bagay bagay na gumugulo sa isip ko. Sa jeep ko madalas maisip mga taong mahalaga saken, mga taong gusto kong makasama, mga taong gusto kong makita. Sa jeep din, madalas naiisip ko kung anu ba talagang gusto kong gawin sa buhay ko. Madalas kong maisip yung mga gagawin ko pag uwi. Lahat pinaplano ko kapag asa jeep ako. Mga damit na gagamitin ko, assignment, pagsulat ng kung anu anu.. lahat pinaplano ko sa jeep. Pero pag uwi ko naman, lahat ng naiisip ko habang nakasakay ako.. hindi ko na magawa, hindi ko na maisip, hindi ko na maplano..

Siguro kase malawak ang pag iisip ko kapag nakasakay ako sa jeep. Habang pinagmamasdan ang mga bahay na nadadaanan, mga taong lumalakad at mga uri ng pamumuhay na madalas kong masaksihan. Sa jeep ko nasasaksihan ang takbo ng buhay sa pilipinas. Tahimik na mabagal, magulo na mabilis, simple pero komplikado.. Ang buhay ng tao parang pagsakay lang sa jeep yan, sasakay ka sa agos ng pamumuhay, minsan kaylangan mu ring huminto para makahanap ng bagong pasahero sa buhay mu, minsan kaylangan mu ring mag baba para maintindihan ang bawa't halaga ng bagay na napapasayo, pero hihinto ka ulit para magpasakay ng bago. At sa huli kaylangan mu naring bumaba.. para magsimula ulit sa una.

Ganyan ang buhay diba? sakay, hinto, baba at pagkatapos sasakay ulit, hihinto at bababa. Pero tandaan mu hindi sa lahat ng oras may pamasahe kang dala. Minsan kaylangan mu ring lumakad para maranasan ang hirap ng buhay pero diba't kahit lumakad ka man o sumakay ka man.. darating at darating ka rin sa iyong pupuntahan.
